Universal Audio UAFX Enigmatic '82 Overdrive

I was a bit skeptical initially, as I had a couple of pedals in the past that promised to sound authentic, but they didn’t and I ended up selling them. After checking out the reviews of the Enigmatic, I decided to take the plunge and I’m glad I did. It does sound very organic, dynamics and playing nuances are very amp like. There are so many sounds you can get from it, due to an abundance of options and cabinets. I can honestly and highly recommend it.

The options of features are limitless. I think that you can have every song you want. But it doesn’t mean you can’t have a bad one…
The « in app » features are a bit complicated to explore but when you have all your setup done, you can store them in the pedal and never use your phone again so I think that it isn’t bad at all.
From clean to rock to edge of break up, you can have it all.
And it take very well all pedals.

Les sons modélisés sont très bons. C'est la pédale la plus versatile d'UAFX pour les amplis. Je la préfère à la dream65, très clairement. Les cleans et les crunch sont magnifique. L'App est mieux qu'au début mais la première connexion a été compliqué. Le premier test n'a pas permis de se connecter. Une fois connecté, la connexion était stable. Étonnant qu'universal audio n'arrive pas à maîtriser ce point. L'appli est indispensable car il y a beaucoup de sons différents. Cette pédale peut couvrir tous les besoins d'un guitariste hormis hi gain et le grain Vox des lampes el84.

In meinem Setup ist ein Rohrenpreamp (JMP1) und Kemper (Profiler Rack) am Start.
Da ich für meine Aufnahmen UA Equipment verwende, wurde ich neugierig als ich von dem UAFX Enigmatic '82 von UA las. Ein paar Rezessionen im Netz gesehen und ich war überzeugt das Gerät mal anzutesten.
Nun steht es bei mir und ich bin ehrlich gesagt tief beeindruckt vom Sound des Geräts. Jedes Preset ist für sich im Sound schon super abgestimmt. Neben den Werk Presets gibt es auch noch Signatur Presets. Die Sounds sind durchdacht und klingen, die Verzerrungen sind einfach nur schön und harmonisch. Alle Parameter sind voll editierbar, direkt am Gerät und auf der App (ich nutze Appel-App). Bluetooth funktioniert leidlich gut, beharkt sich allerdings mit der App für mein H9 (Eventide).
Nun im Grunde ein vernachlässigbares Manko. Es ging mir ja hauptsächlich um den Sound und der ist einfach nur fantastisch. Ein Dumble - Verstärker wird mir wohl live in meinem Leben nicht begegnen, aber ich verstehe das Musiker mit entsprechenden Geldbeutel zig Tausende für ein solches Gerät ausgeben. Die nächsten Produktionen werden mit dem UAFX Enigmatic '82 aufgenommen, keine Frage.
Was ich allerdings nicht so gut finde, ein passendes Netzteil war nicht dabei. Das passende von UA war erst in zwei bis drei Wochen lieferbar....
Schade das hat mich tatsächlich ein wenig geärgert, hatte aber noch ein passendes in Reserve, mit dem geht es dann auch. Dennoch, ich bin mir sicher für diesen Preis wäre ein Netzteil möglich gewesen.
Die Verarbeitung ist Top, nichts zu beanstanden, für diesen Preis ist wohl auch nichts anderes zu erwarten.
Alles in allem ein Top Gerät das mein Setup vervollkommnet und vielleicht die Nr 1 darin wird.
