Taylor 112ce-N

After trying several crossover nylon-string guitars, I finally chose the Taylor 112ce-N, and I couldn't be happier with the decision.

The guitar arrived with an excellent factory setup. The action is low enough to play comfortably without buzzing, and the intonation is excellent across the entire fretboard. Barre chords, even at the first fret, are noticeably easier than on the guitars I have owned previously, making long practice sessions much more enjoyable.

The biggest compliment I can give this guitar is that it makes me want to play. I spent almost two hours playing on the first day and picked it up again the following morning. It has a beautiful, long sustain and a very rich, resonant tone. Even my partner immediately noticed the difference and commented that it sounded as if two guitars were playing at once because of the rich harmonics.

What impressed me most is that this guitar delivers the clarity and definition I usually associate with steel-string acoustics, while the nylon strings make it possible to play for hours without finger pain or fatigue. For me, it combines the best qualities of both worlds.

The overall build quality and finish are excellent, and the instrument feels like a much more expensive guitar.

The only minor disappointment is the included gig bag. While it is welcome and well made, I find it rather thin and oversized for the guitar, so I prefer using my better-padded Gator GL-APX case for transport. This does not affect my opinion of the instrument itself, which deserves five stars.

Highly recommended to anyone looking for a comfortable, inspiring nylon-string guitar with outstanding playability and sound.

Schönes Instrument, die Taylor 112ce-N, macht Spaß und bewährt sich zuverlässig auf der Bühne und auf dem Sofa. Bequem zu spielen mit dem Hals-Korpus-Übergang am 12. Bund. Aus meiner Sicht sowohl für intensives Strumming als auch für Fingerpicking geeignet. Sogar in der open D Stimmung klingt sie gut - vielleicht liegt das auch an den high-tension-Saiten. Die ca. 48 mm Sattelbreite empfinde ich als sehr komfortabel, auch für Westerngitarristen ist hier alles erreichbar.
Ein eingebautes Stimmgerät vermisse ich nicht wirklich, dafür gibt es an der Zarge eben nur die drei dezenten Bohrungen... und hier doch eine klitzekleine Kritik: bei intensiver Bewegung auf der Bühne bleiben die Regler leider nicht zuverlässig in der eingestellten Position, da muß man halt hin und wieder hinschauen. Die Saitenlage war für mich etwas hoch, deswegen hat die Stegeinlage mit dem Schmirgelpapier Bekanntschaft gemacht.
Zusammenfassend: nach 4 Monaten bin ich von dem Instrument begeistert - neuer Klang, neues Spielgefühl, extrem vielseitig, komfortabel zu spielen. Hoffentlich bleibt das noch lange so.

Très belle guitare, la réalisation est soignée, les bois sont de qualité et le vernis satiné est très bien appliqué. Aucun défaut notable, c'est bien une Taylor. En revanche, pas de nacre, pas de finition tapageuse ni de fioritures inutiles qui ne font que rajouter à une note déjà salée pour beaucoup ...
Facilité de jeu lié à la forme du corps et au manche à 17 frettes ... Le manche paraît plus court puisque la 12ème frette affleure le corps de l'instrument.
Bonne projection sonore pour ce type d'instrument.
C'est cependant une guitare atypique car elle n'est pas à proprement parler une guitare classique et n'est pas non plus une guitare folk !
Elle s'adresse plus à un public recherchant un jeu proche de la folk ou peut être de l'électrique en ayant une sonorité nylon.
Le gros plus est qu'elle a une projection meilleure que certaines autres qui ont des corps plus étroits. Elle peut donc être jouée non branchée.
Le préampli est très efficace et facile d'utilisation, il permet de rapidement trouver le son recherché.
L'action des cordes pourrait être abaissée mais la guitare est très jouable dans sa configuration d'origine.
Le rapport qualité prix de l'instrument me paraît bon car il faut faire abstraction du prix du gig bag fourni avec la guitare.
Ce dernier est de qualité, il protège bien l'instrument et il est léger et facile à transporter, à la main ou sur le dos.
Voilà pour mes premières impressions en espérant qu'elles pourront aider certaines personnes à faire leur choix.
