ProPik ProPik Super-Tone Thumbpick L

Context: I bought it for squareneck "dobro". I use ProPik finger picks and do find that they stay on better than alternatives. Up until now I've used Dunlop L thumb-pick and was just curious as to how much this, significantly more expensive thumb pick, can make a difference. Hmmm, not a lot is my answer.

+ It is very well made and I cannot see this breaking anytime soon!
! It is larger than Dunlop size L (so choose carefully).
! The blade is much shorter than that I am used to!

I do not mind wearing these up near the thumb knuckle but if you prefer the pick over the nail, this may not be for you. The blade may be to short and so the thumb-wrap will hit the string.

Tonally I can't say I notice any difference. Dunlops wear down over time and after changing strings there is often a "break-in" period as strings and pick get used to each other. Can't say if this changes with the ProPik but out of the packet I haven't noticed any kind of "wow!" effect.

So a lot of words for a thumb-pick but the price difference will be a barrier for many players. Yes, it is justified in the build quality ... but maybe not that much!

Dieser Pick toppt einfach alles! Teuer, aber jeden Cent wert. Wer damit nicht klarkommt, sollte einfach still sein. Ich bin 66, spielte Gitarren schon mit 14. Habe 6 top akustische in den 80ern selbst gebaut. Mit meiner Duesenberg Starplayer TV BlackTail macht das Teil richtig Spaß! Natürlich brauchte er 6Updates mit Nachschleifen, aber er passt jetzt perfekt! Danke, Fabio von der Beratung! Nur zu empfehlen!

Môj obľúbený palcový banjový prstienok Blue Chip sa rokmi trochu opotreboval. Thomann Bluechipy neponúka, a preto som objednal tento Propik, ktorý sa tvarom a cenou najviac podobal tomu môjmu. Po rozbalení a prvom vyskúšaní som zistil, že sa mi nedá riadne zasunút na palec. Dôvod - neprirodzene dovnútra zahnutý voľný koniec plechovej obrúčky prstienka. Porovnal som tento s obrázkami Propiku na Thomanne. Tam mali všetky prstienky plechovú obrúčku zahnutú tak, ako môj starý BlueChip. Tento môj Propik je evidentný napodarok s chybou, ktorá bráni jeho používaniu. Mal by som to reklamovať, ale námaha a náklady nestoja za to. Pomocou dvoch tenkých klieští som obrúčku ohol tak, aby sa dal prstienok riadne nasunúť, ale úz to teraz nie je moc pekné. Je mi jasné, že Thomann nemôže rozbaľovať a kontrolovať všetku podobnú "bižutériu", ale Propik by si nemal dovoliť predávať šmejdy.
