Maybach Jetwing M Vintage White

first of all, what a guitar... pickups sound amazing but the star of the show is the neck, its thick...very thick. feels amazing for people with bigger hands. the hardware is good quality, i put gotoh locking tuners which fit perfectly. it comes with a beautiful hard case.

there are a few qc issues tho, first of all when i opened the case the first time i was shocked that it doesent fit right, it sits crooked, the headstock digs into the side of the case risking breaking the tuners. i got a new case sent and it has the same problem. ended up having to cut out the support foam block between the legs to use it.
while restringing the guitar the nut popped off (the night before my biggest gig, had to scramble for superglue)
the bridge volume pot developed problems within the first month, while turned all the way up it had a dead spot. had to roll away a bit of volume to get full signal.
the routing under the pickguard is not the cleanest and it doesent line up with pickguard screws, it should screw into the body under the guard but it sits half in the wood and half in open air.

after having owned it for about 8-9 months now, having modified it alot to make it work for me i do love this guitar, it is a bit sad considering the price that all things are not just right.

I already had a Gibson V (faded). Loved the finish and simplistic on that one, but the neck always felt a slight bit too small. So I decided to try this one out. The neck was indeed bigger, if I dare say a bit too much for my taste, so this year I got to sanding it down a little bit, and now it feels just right. I usually mod the hell out of all my guitars, but the only thing I changed on this was the sanding of the neck and replacing the switch a bit closer (without the need to desolder). Usually not a big fan of Amber pickups, but the combo in this thing just works! So I left it alone.

Das Warten hat sich absolut gelohnt.

Die Jetwing wird in einem sehr edlen Koffer geliefert. Die Gitarre an sich kam perfekt eingestellt an.

Die Bespielbarkeit ist ein Traum! Der Hals hat ein kräftiges Profil, ist dabei allerdings nicht zu dick. Die Bünde sind perfekt abgerichtet. Bauartbedingt lässt sich die Gitarre bis in die hohen Bünde problemlos bespielen.

Die Relic-Lackierung ist ebenfalls perfekt aufgetragen, mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Der Lack ist nicht zu dick aufgetragen, sodass das Holz noch sehr schön wahrnehmbar ist. Das Pickguard hat ebenfalls einen Used-Look. Das ganze sieht dabei aber nicht nach Massenware aus, sondern nach viel Handarbeit.

Auch der Sound lässt keine Wünsche offen. Vor allem der Steg-Tonabnehmer hat ordentlich Druck. Von Rock bis (Classic) Metal geht damit alles.

Für mich die beste Gitarre, die ich bisher in den Händen hatte. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!
