I bought this a ‘couch guitar’ to play at home as the nylon string sound is mellow and relaxing to listen to for other family members. I chose a ‘señorita/parlour/seven eights size as I knew it would be more comfortable for lounging on the couch. I also tried a guitalele before but found the higher pitch tiring to listen to after a while. Because of this however I was not worried about the shorter scale or narrower string spacing. The guitar exceeded my expectations for what is essentially a budget instrument. The sound is rich and clear with good bass response. The superb strings fitted as standard help a lot with that. True, the fingerboard is a little tight for my large hands, but as an electric player as well, it also feels kind of familiar. Fretting is a joy with the shorter scale and slightly lighter string tension that comes with it. I’m looking forward to it getting even better over time as the solid top improves.
This would be a brilliant instrument to learn on for a beginner, or like me if you are looking for a guitar for around the house, don’t hesitate.
