Heritage Audio HA-73 X2 Elite

It sounds great! I have had the possibility to test this unit against an Vintech Neve style preamp, also stereo and honestly they are super close to almost identical sound wise. Hard to tell exactly but you definitely will get good sound out of this one if your looking for this style of preamp.

The few things I would change to give it 5 stars all the way through:
The buttons feel a bit cheep and a bit wobbly! And at least on my unit the red knobs is pointing 180 degrees wrong when on zero/0 the knob show you -80... easy to fix by yourself but should you really need to pick up you screwdriver for fixing knobs on your new preamp for ca 1200 euro?

Except for these small irritating things in life after buying this the upside of owning such a well sounding preamp is a game changer for me! Im happy and can strongly recommend it if your looking for this style in a preamp

J'enregistre principalement de la musique classique et acoustique. Je possède déjà un HV3D Millennia dont je suis très content mais je recherchais un preampli plus lent et avec transformateurs type 1073 pour utiliser sur des projets acoustiques personnels. Après avoir lu de bonnes critiques sur Héritage audio, j'ai commandé le HA73x2 et là, surprise !! Le préampli sonne super bien, le son est à la fois rond et donne cette impression 3D. Le grand atout de cette machine pour moi est que je peux tout à fait l'utiliser en musique classique car elle ne colore pas tant que ça ! Je l'ai déjà testé sur des prises de voix classiques et ça marche parfaitement. De plus, après processing, les prises sont magnifiées. Je vais le tester sur des prises de piano, violoncelle et guitare classique.
Je pense que ce HA73 est vraiment polyvalent car il permet d'obtenir des prises optimisées que l'on peut personnaliser selon le style abordé.

Ein wirklich klasse Preamp, der mir seit Beginn des schnellen Thomann-Versands extrem viel Freude bereitet und eine große Aufwertung meines kleinen Heimstudios ist. Besonders viel Spaß macht das Gerät an Akustikgitarren, Ampabnahme für Bass und E-Gitarren, sowie Gesang und Drums. Die Gitarren klingen 3-dimensional und haben eine klangliche tiefe in die man eintauchen möchte. Im Vergleich zu Lowbudget Preamps (Focusrite, Behringer etc.) geht hier wirklich eine neue Welt auf, die meiner Meinung nach den Preis absolut rechtfertigt. Der HA73 Elite ist was für Profis und für Musikrecording Liebhaber. Einen EQ vermisse ich persönlich nicht, da ich meinen Grundsound mithilfe des passenden Mikrofons und der richtigen Positionierung bestimme und Anpassungen meistens (wenn überhaupt) erst nachträglich vornehme. Einziges kleines Manko: Der DI Eingang ist für mein Empfinden nicht sonderlich spektakulär. Den Vergleich zum original Neve habe ich leider nicht, allerdings bin ich mit dem Heritage vollkommen zufrieden und kann ihn wärmstens weiterempfehlen!
