Harley Benton TE-62HA MN SFG

I just received the guitar today. Usually I dread the first day with a new guitar since they always seem to come with a somewhat bad setup, even higher quality brands these days. This guitar was setup perfectly out of the box! I just had to tune it up. The nut is cut perfectly and the frets came polished. The action is about where I want it to be, not too low and definitely not too high. I haven't checked the intonation with a tuner yet, but it sounds spot on.

The aging is top notch for a poly finish. The back of the neck feels like it has been cared of and been played for decades already. Not sure how Harley Benton managed to get such a great feel! However, I wish the horns where reliced a bit. It looks a bit out of place when the rest of the guitar is aged wonderfully.

Oh, and the sound! These Isola pickups are excellent! They don't sound cheap of muffled at all! I haven't noticed any buzz or hum from high gain either which I was most afraid of when ordering the guitar. I've heard worse pickups on guitars costing 10 times more than this one. Let's just say I won't be replacing them. After just a few hours of playing it's creeping up to be my favorite guitar!

The downsides then. Not sure what really to mention. The frets ends felt a bit sharp out of the box, but I just had to play a couple of hours for them to feel fine. I'm sure they will sprout out a bit over time, but that's an easy fix. Also the pickups a single coil obviously. The output isn't as high as most humbuckers, but again it's easily remedied by cranking up the distortion on the amp.

To save the best for last, sinced it's aged you don't have to feel too careful with it! It doesn't matter if it gets a ding somewhere. It just adds to the whole look.

I'm very satisfied with the purchase if I didn't make that clear already. I would recommend this guitar for anyone. It's my first T-style guitar and I actually think it will be my last, but in a good way. I don't think there can exist a better T-style guitar out there to replace this one.

Voici mes premières impressions après quelques jours d'utilisation.
La guitare est arrivée rapidement comme toujours avec Thomann.

Points négatifs :
- L'action et l'intonation étaient totalement au choux.
- Les fretes ne sont pas polies (ca accroche quand on bend) et coupantes sur le bord de touche
- Petit buzz de masse, je vais devoir ouvrir la bête pour controler la masse
Points positif :
- Le reliquage est plutot sympa. Evidemment, on est très loin de ce que proposent fender ou gibson mais il faut comparer ce qui est comparable, cette guitare coûte 20 à 30 fois moins cher.
Je pense que je vais lui appliquer un petit vernis Relic Nitorlack pour obtenir un joli faïençage.
- L'accastillage vieilli rend super bien
- Les micros sonnent franchement pas mal. On a bien le son TELE.
Au départ je pensais les remplacer mais franchement je me demande si je ne vais finalement pas les garder.
Pour chipoter, peut être que le micro manche manque un peu d'attaque.
- Le manche est ultra confortable (une fois qu'on a poli et limer les frètes).
- Les mécaniques sont un peu fermes mais sont précises

Mon Verdict :
A ce prix, cette guitare est une bonne affaire malgré les petits points négatifs que j'ai indiqué, car ils sont faciles à solutionner.
Cela fait 7 jours que je l'ai et 7 jours que je ne joue qu'elle. C'est plutôt bon signe.

Ich hab mir zur Auswahl tatsächlich eine light aged, die Strat und die hier geholt.
Erstmal es ist kein Marketing Gelaber, die werden tatsächlich alle Hand gerelict.
Alle drei waren drastisch unterschiedlich vom relic.
Das für 249€ ist ne Ansage.
Mir persönlich ist der Grün Ton zu grell.
Und als let down daher nur 4 Sterne, in den YouTube Videos auf Guitar summit und co waren die Modelle noch nitro finished.

Allerdings kann ich das verschmerzen.
Rein vom Instrument kommt meine sehr gut eingestellt, Bünde sind hervorragend abgerichtet und insgesamt ist die Gitarre besser als ich es erwartet habe.
In manchem Revue werden die Pick ups kritisiert aber für mich als Besitzer von teueren Gibson, düsenberg, fender muss sagen, erstens vermutlich alles individueller Geschmack und Serien Streuung.
Für mich ist die Hardware sehr gut, die Seiten besser als gedacht, wer nen Schraubenzieher besitzt kann die Höhe der Pickups variieren und für mich das wichtigste ich hab das erste mal richtig Bock ne Tele zu spielen. Alle drei Positionen haben für mich gute Töne udn vorallem nen merklich unterschiedlichen Sound produziert.
Der paint job ist besser als bei so mancher 2500€ Gitarre, das aging der Hardware ist gut.
An einer Brücke hatte ich eine etwa harte kannte, 5 Sekunden gefeilt und abgerundet und Thema war erledigt.
