Great for the price!
We have these speakers as a second pair in the studio, together with neumann kh310 as mains.
They are rather full sounding. especially considering the price.
Pros:
- Price. Competes with speakers well above the price point in terms of sound.
- Fairly good for mixing vocals in my opinion.
- Build quality. They feel as sturdy and solid as it comes.
Cons:
- Soundstage isn't as wide and deep as you generally want.
- A little bit muddy, especially in the lower mids & low end, compared to our kh 310 (but they are not comparable at all, price wise!)
If you want a good sounding speaker for a great price, these are highly recommended!

Utmärkt studiomonitor i sin prisklass
Yamaha HS 7 är en mycket prisvärd monitor som håller vad den lovar. Ljudbilden är balanserad och korrektheten känns övertygande. Det går dessutom relativt snabbt att "spela in" monitorerna. I den här prisklassen har jag inte lyssnat på någon annan monitor som håller så här pass hög kvalité. Hantverket ger ett stabilt intryck och funktionaliteten är vad man kan förvänta sig. Fortsätter Yamaha HS 7 att spela så som de gör nu är detta sannerligen ett köp jag varmt kan rekommendera. I och med att prisskillnaden mellan HS 5, HS 7 och HS8 är så pass liten bör man välja monitor efter behov och lokal. I ett mindre eller mellanstort kontrollrum passar HS 7 alldeles utmärkt. Basåtergivningen är helt klart tillräcklig. Om man ska peka på något negativt med HS 7 är det i så fall mellanregistret vid starkare volymer som då blir något tröttande för örat vid längre lyssnande. Sammantaget är det dock en marginell invändning.

Amazing first monitors
I bought these as my first monitors for my bedroom studio. The size was perfect for a medium-sized room (4x3m) and they do sound pretty good. Don't let the size fool you, these can get pretty loud.
I think the best thing about these monitors is how flat they sound. They won't blow you away and you won't feel the bass pumping in your chest, but if you can get anything to sound good on these it will sound good anywhere.

Good but not enough low end
Don't know if it's my room that I'm using these in, but there's is not enough low end in these, which usually leads to a very low-end heavy result. Perhaps these are meant to be used in conjunction with a sub, I don't know. But it's something to take into consideration if you are looking for speakers. All in all, I am pretty happy with them.
