Yamaha HS 5 W

Nicely made, can't really compare them to much else as these are the first "real" monitors Ive had. Lots of mid range and high end, so they sound pretty "bad", but when you've got your mix sounding balanced on these they seem to translate pretty well to other systems (albeit you need to learn to not cut too much mid and hgh freqs) . I've heard you need to run monitors in and I haven't used them that much at any sort of significant volume. Maybe they get less harsh after a bit of heavy use.

One infuriating design decision was putting the power switches on the back when they should have made the little yamaha badge on the front that lights up a power switch instead. Other than that I have no complaints. And the white ones look way cooler.
