Rack mounting a Commodore 64 in home studio

I bought this 2U keyboard drawer for rack mounting my MIDI enabled Commodore 64. Turned out to be a great fit for this. The size is just perfect and the drawer is robust and sturdy. No much to claim about really.

Please note that the old VIC 64 breadbin would not fit. Only the "new" style C64C, which however will fit together with a cartridge like the 1541U2 or a MIDI interface.

Pros: Rigid drawer, fits my C64 perfectly. Stable even when fully opened.

Cons: The holes for cables should be in the center rather than close to the edges. The cables sometimes hook at the edges stucking the drawer. Can be solved by binding the cables towards the center, but still is a slight design flaw.

I use it for my Surface pro when I record live gigs. Neat to just shove it into the rack and draw it out just to check the levels or something.

The quality and price is perfect. No need for anything more fancy than this.
