When I first assembled the desk it didn't feel sturdy and I was somewhat worried. But then I re-tightened all screws in the desk and it got very solid.
I really like the fact that you can mount 9u 19" rack gear. Especially if like me you use rack gear that don't take up too much space in the back. This allows for very easy cable management. I have a power distributor, a sound interface and adat expander allowing for backside permanent sound input and output as well as more temporary sound inputs on the front, as well as 2 x 84 hp eurorack modules in one of the eurorack mounts I only carry 80hp to allow for CV/Gate cables to run from the back to the front of the 19" rack.
If you have lots of gear on the desk as well, I can recommend buying a XXL mouse mat as protection of the desk surface, just keep in mind that the depth of the desk with the 19" rack top is not very deep, about 40cm but it depends on any cables and stuff on the front of the rack gear.
if you expect to have gear on top of the 19" rack, as I do, bare in mind that it will be far to reach if sitting at the desk. Especially if you have the retractable keyboard part of the desk extended.
If your keyboard is thick you should make sure you have an adjustable chair to make sure you can fit the keyboard between your legs and the desk. I am 190cm and don't have any real issue with this even though I use the MCP Key 37 which is thicker than the average keyboard.
