Thomann SD1204W Marching Snare Set

This is a light-weight snare with a quick respons and OK sound (a little metallic, no doubt); with damping gel on the head it has a high-pitch cut-off sound I appreciate. The carrier is stable and better than many others I have seen, and may easily be adjusted in several ways. For my son, who is eleven years old and had a hard time with his band's marching drums (including drum set snares) this was a longed-for product. I usually go for established brands and more expensive products, but this buy was excellent for its purposes.
