I´ve been playing all kinds of flutes and whistles for 40 years, and I say with no caviat that this is an absolute excellent instrument. It being plastic makes it very durable and fully water resistant, which is really good qualities.
It does not really have that breezy windy tone that you get with a traditional tin whistle. But get one anyway, along with your tin. This is clear, easy to play, cuts well (mayby a little bit too well, the sound can be shrill if pushed hard) and is the fun flute to always have in your bag/pocket/guitarcase without feeling that you risk damaging an expensive unique flute. Get one :)
