I have this digital piano at my parents' house so I can practice there without annoying them.

One thing to consider is its middle pedal: when you push it down after playing a key, the sound will sustain BUT the sound will not be added with more sustained audio if you press the same key again. (With my more expensive digital piano, this is not the case)

+ it's great that you can put down its cover to protect against dust
+ all 88 keys so you don't feel like you're playing on a cheap keyboard!

If you cannot afford a slightly more expensive digital piano for your piano endeavors, then I highly recommend this digital piano as a starting point for you.

Make sure you get a pair of headphones and a piano bench so you get the true piano experience so you can transfer your piano skills from this digital piano to a real one later on in your "career".

I literally don't have a bad word to say about this piano.

For context I'm 4ft 11" and it only took me 40 minutes to put it together, single-handedly, including carrying each individual piece upstairs one at a time, and having to go downstairs three times to get different screwdrivers. It was ridiculously simple.

It feels really authentic; the keys are a perfect weight with great hammer action, and the sound and feel for just playing at home gives you the experience of playing an upright piano, but at a fraction of the price and with the added benefits of it taking up less space, being simple to take apart if moving it to another room, and no specialist mover is required if moving house.

Another bonus is that you can plug earphones in so you don't have to annoy the family and neighbours with your playing, you can plug it in via a midi cable to a laptop or tablet for online tuition courses, and if you record music as we do in our household there is no complicated microphone arrangement required for recording this piano - you just plug it in and you're off!

This is genuinely one of the best value purchases I have ever made, and I couldn't be happier with the instrument or with the service I received from Thomann - just top drawer!
