Tillräckligt bra
JerryE 26.12.2014

Good and cheap!
Mikaeliby 26.08.2026
Bought this to have a bit of freedom to move while tracking sax and trumpet. Works very well. The base sound is a bit muffled, but this make it very malleable in the post rec EQ, and it is easy to create a classic wind section sound. I also use it now for other stuff, like miking an amp (not super) or in front of the kick drum (really good).

Generally, the signal I feel is fixed on padded (= low volume) which is not bad in itself, but I would have liked a switched option (like 0db, -10db, -20db).

Also, cable is attached, and scary thin. The fact that it does not come off is a big downside and makes the (before repair) lifetime unpredictable. I treat stuff very well and don´t expect it to just break, but it is fragile in its cunstruction. Also, yes for a clip on mike we need light cable, but there are better soloutions.

Useful little mic
SteveR 19.06.2013
I bought this with half an idea that it might be useful for clipping on to an instrument, as this is mentioned in the product description. In particular, I was thinking of using it on a saxophone. While this can be done, the mic is relatively large - not for a standard mic, such as an SM58, but for a clip-on instrument mic.

This makes the CC75 somewhat more intrusive that you might like for this type of use. The clip is sturdy enough and the mic stays in place on the instrument, although it might slip if you're one of those players that moves around a lot.

Performance is reasonable for the price, and the clip does mean you can locate it in places where a mic stand might be problematic.

Don't forget that this mic needs phantom power!

Summary: Good value, practical mic for situations where a mic stand might not be appropriate.
