I had seen a few promising videos about the Play Acoustic. Specifically I was excited about the feature to make acoustic piezo pickups sound better, as they often sound too harsh and lifeless.
I do own the TC Helicon VoiceLive Touch since many years, and I love the vocal effects. So another reason for buying this was to get the same great vocal effects in a pedal format. For that reason, it does work well. The same great vocal effects engine, so I can't complain about that. However, the guitar effects are less exciting - and I was overall disappointed with the expected enhancement of the built-in pickups of my acoustic guitars. They all sound only slightly better when ran through this pedal. If I was going to play the acoustic guitar in a live setting, in a pub or similar where overall sound quality might not be of highest priority, I would still use it for the flexibility and vocal effects. But maybe not for higher profile gigs or recordings.
