at first when i got these i thought they sounded very bad because i've been using a gaming headset with a big bass boost curve, so these are not at all boomy, but the bass is there, just not overpowering everything else. these headphones dont seem to have much low mids/mids i think so its kinda hard to know if something is muddy or not (at least for me), i use them to record guitar only and what i like alot about these is that they really block out alot of noise from the pc and even the guitar pick so i can really hear the tone i'm working on in these headphones, but since the mids are weird it feels like im working with treble and bass with some high mids, yea so these are definitely not for mixing, more like tracking or getting rid of the noise from the pc while u're listening. the frequency response that u can view online for these are kinda accurate of what you will hear, the cut in the 4k region is good for not getting any fatigue from these, oh also the foam stuff on the headphones are very good, big ear cups that forms around your ears making that passive noise cancellation, the guy that talked about those sharp edges on top of the headphones i dont get, i didnt know they were there until i read about it now, how he handles the headphones is a very strange kind of headphone technique he has, you just grab the headphones and put them on, why move your hands around the whole thing, its like he's massaging it before he wears them. may be some weird audiophile ritual, who knows?
