The amp is of a very good build quality.
Fans are inside the chassis and at an angle, probably larger than ~40mm diameter that would fit vertically. This is good. When the amp is idle, they're ignorable. Under regular load they are not disturbing.
The connectors on the back are well laid out and convenient.
Props for including a batch of Euroblock connectors in the package.
To make experience even better, I'd love to see a spare pack.
The LED displays on the front are sufficient.
This amp apparently has a soft start and stop no pops sent on turning on and off. Wow!
Now the drawbacks:
1/ The gain pots at the rear are what they are. Sufficient for general application, but setting up gains with 0.1V precision is quite a challenge. This could be improved.
2/ The amp is a little bit noisy (speced at 95db) - would not be an issue in commercial listening (clubs, retail, restaurants etc…_), but for pro audio art installation applications — well, it's far from the RME or other high end studio equipment standards. This could be improved.
Did not test the real power output under full 8-ch load yet.
In general, this is hard to beat at this pricepoint, as there are not many to choose from and prices are usually much higher.
