First of all the synth is stunningly beautiful. The wood on mine were perfect. The knobs ooze quality - they are beautiful, big, smooth and sturdy. Its all about dialing in the sound directly, without menu-diving. I can sit for an hour and just forget myself and produce otherwordly ambient sonic landscapes. The oscillators, filters and envelopes are all perfect. I have had other synths by sequential (rev2 with DCO oscillators) that I returned since I could hear some imperfections and missyncs but in this one everything is super stable and it sounds perfect. Some don't like the lack of stereo spread out and inbuilt sequencer, arpeggiator and effects. However I am very picky about those things and I prefer to use the inbuilt arpeggiator in Logic X (it is marvelous) and for an effect - fully analog that matches this analog synth - that both gives a kind of stereo chorus modulation and wonderful panning delay - I use Boss DM-101. I also recommend this as an effect. So all in all - if you want an analog polyphonic synth with a total of 400 patch memory slots (200 writable) you cannot beat this one! One thing I should mention and recommend is that use DIN for midi (not USB) - I think the fault is not with the synth but with mismatching versions of USB (2-3) and other things.
