Changed an e604 for this compact 421on a floor tom. Better bass and low-mid response, and it is certainly a much punchier sounding microphone. It is bigger than an e604 of course, but compact enough to fit on a drumkit.

Only downside is that the holder does not allow for a great range of angles when placing the microphone. A bit ironic considering that the trafitional 421 always had problem with the holder as well, so I guess it is safe to say it stays true to the original version…
