Rode NTG4+

I was pleased with the mic until for no reason the internal battery stopped working for no reason. Had only used the mic a couple of times. I've seen several comments and reviews in other forums about others having problems with the battery as well. This should not happen! Now i have to run around finding another mic for a recording tomorrow.

I use this mic with a Canon XA-30 camera for outdoor filming. I haven?t A/B testet (compared) it with any other mic, but I?m very pleased with the soundquality and it?s ability to record distant sound.
What I don?t like with the mic is that all controls/switches are placed where I have to mount the mic to the camera. If you want to change the settings you almost have to dismount the mic from the camera... Another thing that annoys me is that when I use the "dead cat" and zoom out I usually get the "cat" in the picture.
