Remo 14" Emperor X Coated Dot

I bought this because my favourite drummer Nicko McBrain from Iron Maiden uses this and I really like his snare sound.

The head is easy to tune, provides a great tone and is extremely durable! When I haven't had any money for new drum heads I have just kept on using the ones I have, which means that sometimes I have used this head on my rehearsal snare for about 6 months! And I'm a hard hitter!

I have actually never cracked one of these drum heads, and as I mentioned earlier I'm a hard hitter plus that I tune my snare very high so the head is really under alot of pressure.

If you have somewhat of a nice snare and a nice resonant head you can get a very professional and great sounding snare with minimal overtones using this head. I should also mention that I don't use any muffing on my snare.

To sum it all up. Great, great tone. Easy to tune, ridiculously durable, and all to a great price!

You will not regret buying this. Remo has really outdone themselves!
