Remo 11" Symmetry Fiberskyn D2

These Remo Symmetry Fiberskyn conga heads feel more like natural hide than most synthetic skins and have a little of that warmth that you get from hide, but you get a massive powerful note that really projects well. I use these on fibreglass LPs for gigging. I hadn't used the symmetry heads before and had actually been looking for tucked heads, being a bit of a traditionalist, but couldn't find any. These are actually better, I love the feel and sound and they are tidier without the tuck. It looks exactly the same skin material. The only downside I would say about fibreskins is I have found the top layer of the skin (the hide looking and feeling finish bit) becomes detached from the main playing part of the head over time which is why I was replacing my previous ones.

Ich bin ein Fan von Remo-Kunststoff-Congafellen und habe mir dieses Fell für meine Galaxy-Fiberglas-Quinto gekauft. Die Tucked-Version besitze ich schon länger und verwende sie auf meinen Patato-Congas.
Für die Galaxy ist der Ring im Tucked-Congafell nicht weit genug und der Spannring packt das Fell zu weit aussen. Das gleich habe ich bei der Tucked-Nuskyn-Version erlebt.
Jetzt habe ich in der Produktbeschreibung für die Symmetry-Version gelesen dass das Fell auf Galaxy-Congas passen soll und es deshalb gekauft. Mein Fazit jetzt nach dem realen Test: "Passt nicht; ist zu klein im Durchmesser". Jetzt probiere ich es mal mit der angeblich weiteren D4-Variante.
Die Felle sind ja genial, aber mit den technischen Infos haben es die Jungs von REMO offensichtlich nicht so.
Da eine korrekte Produktbeschreibung gerade beim Online-Kauf wesentlich ist, musste ich das Fell leider "abwerten".

Update Februar 2020: Meine bewertung wurde leider (zumindest von Thomann) nicht "ernst genommen". Die Eignung für LP Galaxy-Congas steht immer noch in der Produktbeschreibung. :-(
