One of the best

A great sounding and high quality DI, and as a bonus it's cheap. Basically it's a J-48 in a smaller package whitout the low cut. I have three of these and use them with various acoustic instruments equipped with K&K pickups.

So in short - small, great price, sounds great and fits well on the pedalboard.

Ett lyft för akustisk gitarr

En prisvärd DI som lyfter ljudet acculjudet i replokalen hos oss. Har provat flera olika accu i olika prisklasser och alla får en knuff i rätt riktning av SB-1. Vanliga mixerbord kan behöva hälp av en bra DI-box.

As usual - these Radial DI boxes delivers good sound...

I have been using it with acoustic guitars and I have several of these DI boxes - and I get amazed how well they work and sounds. Easy to connect - just turn on 48V on the mixer...and plug-in the guitar - and the rest is done!

Then it is built as a tank - hard to wreck...but this is standard with all Radial equipment.

Great natural sound

Great sounding DI box, let's the sound of your guitar come through.
I've tried this out through a smaller portable PA mixer system and at a full gig set up (3k rig with stage monitors and engineer). Using my Martin D28 with AER Ak15 pickup through the portable system I was able to do a direct comparison with my friends AER compact 60 which is a stunning sounding acoustic amp. To my ears the Stagebug had a much more open and natural sound. More dynamic response, a sweeter treble and a nice thump to the bass when digging in. Using this system I used the phase reverse switch and 10db pad.
Through the house PA at my local rock venue I wasn't pleased with the sound coming through the monitors. I had the pad engaged but didn't need to use the other 2 features. However, upon hearing a recording taken on the night, I was extremely pleased with the overall tone. Again, a very natural sound which I feel up until now I have never managed to quite nail with the AER pickup.
The compact size of the unit is a real bonus and I just might buy another to live in my Takemine 12 strings case as well.
