Pyramid Gold Flatwound 040-100

Superior quality.
I use these for my 1967 Hofner 500/1 viola bass. I've also used them on various copies the viola bass.
These strings will add quite a bit of vintage to your sound, no matter which type of instrument you put em on.

Brukar i vanliga fall köpa Thomastiks flatwounds men ville testa något nytt.
Helt underbara strängar. Liknar Thomastiks men mer neutrala. Inte fullt så "middiga".En smaksak. Gillar dem skarpt.
Jag gillar inte Chromes men dessa är fantastiska.

Used them on a 67 Höfner violinbass. Great vintage sound, similar to McCartneys höfnersound. Pretty low tension but does not feel sloppy.

Pyramid oslipade strängar är perfekta till min gamla Höfner 500/1 bas från 1956. Låter vintage - precis som det skall låta!

Lovely tone and feel!

But the nuts or "donuts" at the bridge end of the strings are too small for my Fender Mustang PJ Bass! They go right through the bridge, so I have to use a small rod through the donuts to keep it in place. Not ideal, and I wish someone would have told me this. I have not noticed any tuning problems with the strings yet though, used them a couple of weeks now.

The thread at the bridge is also a little too long for my Mustang Bass, it goes over the saddle, but only by a little.
