Two of these have died on me

Unfortunately I haven't had a good experience with these cables at all. Though they never made any crackling noises on me, and the mute function worked flawlessly everytime, two of these cables have on separate instances died on me and just become silent. I haven't had them in weird akward angles or anything like that, they just died.

I'm sure this isn't a testament of every Planet Waves product, but I haven't anything else by them to compare with.
