Pittsburgh Modular Voltage Lab 2

I had been wanting a Buchla Music Easel for a long time so what I have been looking for is a complete modular synth that can be used stand alone as well as integrate with other modular synths. When I saw that this was released it looked to tick all boxes and having played with it for a few weeks it really lives up to my expectations. It takes a while to get into it even though I have used other modular/semi-modular synths before. To me it has several new timbres I have not had before which is really fun to explore. The sequencer is both powerful and intuitive and having two tracks it can either sequence each oscillator separately or an external synth.
The build quality feels really good and solid as well.
The overall experience is a very complete instrument on it's own with each component very thoughtfully selected.
It is a big investment in both money and time but it can deliver on many styles.
