A fantastic synth with a few imperfections
I've owned the Summit for quite a while now and it is still one of my favourite synthesizers. The interface is excellent and very immediate. Most things are right in front of you, which makes programming sounds fast and, most importantly, fun.
It is extremely versatile and can cover everything from warm analogue-style sounds to more modern and experimental sounds. The modulation possibilities are excellent without making the synth feel complicated.
The reason I give it four stars rather than five is mainly that I sometimes find the overall sound a little too polished for my taste, and the build quality, while good, doesn't quite feel as solid as I would expect at this price.
But those are fairly minor complaints. The Summit is a powerful, inspiring and very enjoyable synthesizer to work with, and I would definitely buy it again.
