Meinl HE-104 Darabuka

I chickened out and got the Darabuka one size bigger than the one I was looking at, since that was what the soundclip was from I noticed.
Having said that I now will get the smaller one too, very good price for quality.

Sound: nice percussive sound from front, booming bass from hole. Mic it up and mix.
Might sound better with a natural skin but for an easy to play hand drum it is alright for us amateurs. But it is an extra star that you can change the skin and that it is not a fixed kit.
You can tune it.

I'm very satisfied with my purchase, it might not be the best Darabuka around but it is not alot of money and if you are looking for a peice to liven up your beat this one will do the trick.
