I bought this for the seemingly great crunch tones, as seen on video reviews. This thing sounds good and adding an overdrive pedal with the amp on crunch sounds awesome to me. It accepts pedals with great results. I put the reverb and delay pedals in the FX-loop.
Very easy to operate and has a quality feel to the build. I've had some really expensive combos and amp-heads and this feels on par with those, or very close at least. Sound quality is subjective but if you're looking for a Plexi-ish tone this will probably fit the bill. The switchable power is extremely useful. Don't expect the amp to go all quiet though just because it's in the 0.5W mode, it's still plenty loud.
If you're looking for an amp capable of distortion this is not for you.
+ Great value.
+ Handles pedals with ease.
+ Light weight for a valve amp.
+ Good build quality (and for me, great looks).
+/- Only one channel can put some people off, but it's all you need since this really is a pedal platform.
- If I'm nit picking it would be the cranked preamp sound. Cranking the power amp will get a different result though which is more to my liking.
