La Bella Steinberger S1046

Very easy to put on since the ball ends of each strings has extra windings around them. No need to "solder" the plain strings. I usually have to do this on some other brands to keep the strings silent when using whammying bar on the Steinberger (S-trem). Otherwise a weak or loud "knirk!" can be heard as you move the whammy. This is plain string only.

I bought 3 sets on the spot. I know from the bass strings side ( I play bass too) that LaBella hasn't let me down, ever. And they are one of the few that makes flatwound double ball end strings for both bass and guitar too (if not the only one). Definitely better than Steinbergers own (Moyo) and D'addario.

As for resulting sound, it's an even wash, as I think it's very hard to tell the difference by only hearing/listening to them and compare to other brands. It's all about the feel in the fingers and longevity, and of course being able to keep in tune and intonation in the long run. These ones keeps it.
