Rod IS adjustable

Aha! I wrote a review complaining about the pictures showing the rod in different directions when in reality not being adjustable. When trying again however it turns out that it can in fact be adjusted - this has to be done with a great pressure and power however. I have a fairly big ipad which is held in place. It doesn't feel like the most solid build but it's apparently doing it's job - I'll try it for the next gigs!

Almost perfect.

The part that holds you smartphone or tablet is absolute perfection. REALLY stretchy, can hold a 14" tablet and has space for more. A combination of soft/padded materials as to not scratch your device.
The swivel and neck can support the added weight of a big tablet.

The clamp on the other hand feels like a missed opportunity, tends to loosen up over time, especially if it holds a heavy tablet.

I mounted this on my drum rig. I went around the weak clamp issue by clamping it down with a bigger clamp i had laying around. Too bad Thomann doesn't support image uploads for the reviews.

Skeptical at first but now convinced

At first I thought they were super expensive for something cheap and plasticky. But I was wrong. They re really durable and for a setup like mine in a church where people need lyrics and access to the scripture constantly it was a real treat to have such a compact accessory to hold phones up along with the mic tripods. Very flexible as well allowing for different positions and angles. Must have for prayer house / worship houses.
