I have little experience with studio subs, so it’s hard for me to compare with others. but this certainly plays loud enough to carry the in-8s. It blends in seamlessly with those speakers and fills in the void that I felt was missing below 100hz.
I would rather have too much bass than too little (so the mix translates to consumer gear), but still I run it quite a bit below unity. So this thing has plenty of juice should you need it.
It feels well built and there is no perceivable vibration from it. The footswitch feature is great. I use it all the time.
The only thing lacking is that the only internal crossover is 80hz. It’s not a problem with the kali speakers, but maybe with others.
