OB
Does the job well for most tasks
Oskar B. 09.10.2024
My first digital caliper so I don't know if higher precision should be expected. For example, it only gives a rough idea of string gauge since there is considerable play in the joint of the caliper. The same caliper is available with other brands, but I couldn't find it cheaper anywhere else. It comes with a plastic case to protect it but it barely fits in it.

T
Essential tool, accessible price
Tinkerer 15.09.2022
The kind of tool a tinkering guitarist can't do without.
This model comes in a convenient plastic case, is very easy to use and sufficiently accurate. Mine had batteries installed as well as a set of spares.
The thumb wheel feels a bit wobbly, but at this bargain price I can definitely live with that.

M
Highly accurate
MajaR 18.05.2024
This is well made, highly accurate, easy to use, and stable. By stable I mean that when you zero it closed, extend and then re-close the caliper, it returns to zero. (Sure, any measurer should, but they don't all!).

If I measure the gauge of a .009 string, it's reads just that. For guitar and guitar tech/kit, hard to imagine needing anything more from a caliper measurement tool.
