Harley Benton EX-84 Modern EMG VW

The good parts:
- Good fretwork (better than any Mexican Strat I ever played for a fraction of the price. Surprised the frets were polished).
- I don't see any serious flaws in the finish.
- EMGs! The 60 is still the greatest neck pickup ever made. And the 81 is no slouch.
- No problems with the electronics.
- Plays great with low action due to the aforementioned fretwork.
The bad:
- Loose jack.
- Gloss finish, sticky neck.
- Weight (did not measure, but it feels heavier than my other guitars. I changed the strap because of this).
- The neck is quite thick, but this could be a pro or a con for you.

Overall: One of the best guitar purchases I've ever made, considering the price. Recommended.

This very guitar has been a dream of mine, owning a Hetfield guitar is one of my many dreams and I'm pretty sure many have that one as well.
The EX-84 EMG comes in hot with a smooth and cool design featuring comfy strings, sharp EMG pickups that makes your tones melt like grilled cheese and just a overall look that makes you wanna frame it. The tuning stays long enough for easy riffing and can survive a few days without having to tune it, amazing for those sudden midnight riff ideas.
Though, the only issue I have is that for me, the high E string is a bit too far out of the neck, making it hard for me to play leads. But it might also be a me-problem as well, it's not a world shattering factor, but still annoying.

Overall though, this Explorer is definitively worth it's price and should get more praise. The price is friendly, the quality is high, it's hot and sounds hot too. Nothing wrong here at all, only pure enjoyment with "Cool" written all over it.
