I bought this guitar as a fun project. I had several guitars already so this was more for the fun of building it. The instructions were good and there were no problems assembling the guitar. The painting took it's time, and this is of course a matter of ambition, what level you choose. The electronics are not top class, the sound was not so inspiring, so i bought a set of Seymour Duncan pickups and new pots and switch, and now it actually sounds really good. There is one really bad point though: The fretboard. The frets are not correctly positioned, the distance between frets should be larger the closer to the headstock, but on this guitar some three frets in a row can have eqaul distance, for the fourth fret to have an extra long distance etc, this goes on along the whole fretboard and makes intonation really tricky, so i have mostly used this guitar for slide. I should also mention that i bought the guitar kit in 2012 and am writing this review in 2019, the quality of these kits may very well have gone better in the mean time.
Overall a funny project well worth the money, the guitar was usable without modifications and could be a good start for an aspiring guitar player or builder.
