The body was dented and there were impurities under the sealer. I'm going to clear-coat the body, so I had to sand it down a lot before finishing. Make sure to wear protective gloves and a mask when sanding or drilling, because rengas wood is very irritating.

The neck is very nice. One of the hardtail screws didn't fit, so it couldn't be assembled. The loaded pickguard and pickups look alright, but I'm not going to use them. Same with the tuners and strap buttons.

I bought this kit because I wanted the body with its small offset shape, which I love from my JA-60. I'm not going to use the other parts. Despite its flaws, this kit provides VERY good value for the price as long as you're willing to put in some work.
