Uncomfortable but with a snappy sound.
I tried this on a banjo to level out the thumb notes with those of the other fingers and it works. You get a snappy and sharp sound but after about an hour the thin design sort of cuts into your thumb. Maybe you'll get used to it but I'll keep looking for the perfect thumb pick.
