A nice diffrence
Having never tried a brass nut I bought this and mounted on a cheap strat-like guitar.
As my guitar isn't a fender I can't vouch for how well it fits.
I had to do a bit of work around it, but that's my own cheap guitars fault.
Sound wise I really like it. Kinda gives the open strings more of the character of a fretted note. I like to play a lot of open string licks and chords so that really pleased me.
I haven't had any trouble with strings getting caught and messing up the tuning either.
Worth mentioning though, is that I've so far only played quite thin strings. (008-046)
