This and the digitakt is all ill ever need

I love this synth so much i love Elektrons workflow and their sequencer and how they easily intergrate with other elektron devices, the Digitone II got me so excited, I have been struggleing alot recently with my mental health and almost wanted to give up , but when i got ym digitone 2 i felt like it was therapy, i could zone out and just experiment and make whatever crazy sound i wanted

Finally found the right synth for me

After trying many different synths over the years, I’ve finally found one that just worked for me. The Digitone II is hands down the best synth I’ve had — it’s inspiring and has opened up new creative paths in my music that I hadn’t tapped into before.

The workflow takes a little time getting used to, but once you've invested the time, its so much fun. I can sit down with it and get lost for hours.

If I had to mention one thing, it’s the sound. Coming from analog synths, there’s a different character here — more digital, obviously, since it is digital. It’s not worse, just different. Some might prefer the warmth of analog.

But all in all, it’s the first synth that’s truly stuck with me. Highly recommended.

Ich habe den Elektron Digitone II gekauft nachdem ich schon lange den Vorgänger im Auge hatte. Am ursprünglichen Digitone störten mich jedoch einige Einschränkungen, wie z.B. die begrenzte Anzahl an Spuren.

Der Digitone II hat genau diese Punkte verbessert und ist dadurch zu einem richtig vielseitigen Gerät geworden. Mit den zusätzlichen Spuren und Stimmen ist er nicht nur ein großartiger FM-Synthesizer, sondern auch ein richtig guter Drum-Synth und Virtual-Analog-Synth. Die neuen FM-Maschinen sind einfach genial! Für mich ist er damit auch eine fantastische Groovebox.

Die Verarbeitung ist, wie man es von Elektron kennt, absolut hochwertig. Der Digitone II fühlt sich sehr robust und wertig an. Der Workflow ist typisch Elektron – wenn man damit noch nicht vertraut ist, braucht man vielleicht ein bisschen Eingewöhnungszeit, aber für einen FM-Synth ist er trotzdem ziemlich einfach zu bedienen.

Einziger Nachteil: Overbridge ist momentan (zum Zeitpunkt dieser Bewertung) noch nicht verfügbar. Hier sehe ich aber noch keinen Grund einen Stern abzuziehen da es bereits in der Beta Testung ist und vermutlich in den nächsten Wochen zur Verfügung stehen wird.

Alles in allem macht der Digitone II einfach Spaß, viel mehr als ich dachte. Es ist ein tolles Gerät für alle, die gerne experimentieren oder vielseitige Klänge suchen.

The perfect digital Elektron box

With 16 tracks, 16 voices, and four deep machines, plus enhanced effects and a compressor, all packed within the familiar Digitone workflow—this is Elektron at its finest. This could very well be the best machine Elektron has created.

The original Digitone has always been my favorite, but it felt somewhat limited. When I tried the Syntakt, it introduced some interesting features but ultimately felt even more constrained. The Digitakt was impressively versatile, yet the sampling-focused design without robust synth modulation wasn’t ideal for me.

Enter the Digitone 2, a groovebox that finally checks all the boxes I’ve been looking for. My only minor gripe? There’s no chord mode yet. Hopefully they will include in the next updates.
