This clock divider lest you use it either as an straight forward clock divider with divisions of 2,4,6,8,... or Prime numbers or division up to 126. Excellent for ambient music. It can also be switched between Trig or Gate.
"Two output modes, selected by a two-position switch at the front panel:
Gate mode: outputs act like the outputs of typical binary dividers
Trigger mode: in this mode the outputs are AND-wired with the clock signal (i.e. the clock pulsewidth affects the pulsewidth of the outputs)
In the final version of the module the upper toggle switch (i.e. the switch which is used to select between Gate and Trigger outputs) is also a 3-position switch. The center position is labelled "Cst" as an abbreviation for "Custom" mode. So far the custom mode is not yet implemented. For future firmware versions a custom mode is planned that can be selected by means of two unused jumpers (probably inverted gate output mode or inverted trigger output mode)."
It is very useful as it expands the scope of the clock divider mk1 and lets you use odd numbers.
I found that if you switch it to cst all the gates light up except the actual number it is on, so it works inverted. can make interesting things happend.
It's a bit cramped to flip the swithces on the fly, but you get used to it. Use a pen or something and you are fine.
