A good start for your modular journey

It might seem a bit pricey, and if you are interested in just one or more modules, you should look for a skiff with less HP.

But Doepfer offers a great start for those of you that want to aim for a larger system. It offers all the basic needs to be able to create a synth from scratch. When you feel ready you can buy more modules or different modules to add to the bottom row. I am very content with this and would not have wanted another road to learn modular from scratch. Doepfer's modules may seem basic and vanilla, but they are great tools for the price.
