Good budget case

Good budget case, easy to move around. The built-in MIDI connectivity makes so you don't need a special module just for that. Lots of power available too. There's two outputs so you can for instance have one synth voice and a percussive sound going simultaneously without using a mixer module. I have managed to hang the MIDI interface a few times while moving a lot of controllers at once but I'm not sure if that is due to my controller or the NiftyCase. It lacks supports for having it standing upright at an angle (like the TipTop Mantis) but you can't have everything for this price. Output is also a 6,3 mm mono jack only, worth remembering.

Great aesthetics, good functionality

It looks great, I had it installed in my 19" rack and it complements my 2600 synth wonderfully. The midi to cv is a big plus and the included PSU saves you a few HPs. Great product at an excellent price.

Buen producto y acabado

En general le puse 5 estrellas porque me gusta el funcionamiento y el acabado.
En características le puse 4 porque funciona todo correctamente, pero un detalle a lo mejor a mejorar es que las salidas del frente se unen en una común por la parte trasera, yo particularmente hubiera preferido tener las dos independientes.
En fabricación puse 4 ya que lo veo justo con 55mm de profundidad máxima para los módulos, yo por ejemplo tengo un módulo, de fabricación casera que mide 60mm y he tenido que suplementarlo con dos torretas de 5mm que no tiene mayor importancia, pero que ser demasiado justo lo es.
El acabado muy bueno, robusto y de calidad así como la serigrafía, y el funcionamiento como ya he comentado perfecto hasta el momento.

Das NiftyCase springt einem bei der Rack-Suche nicht direkt ins Auge, weil es für den aufgerufenen Preis deutlich weniger Rackspace bietet als zum Beispiel Behringers EurorackGo. Der Preisunterschied relativiert sich aber, wenn man die Zusatzfunktionen des Cases einbezieht. Ein MIDI-CV-Converter ist halt ein echtes Argument, wenn man ein Rack in einen bestehenden nicht-modularen Setup integrieren möchte. Wenn man sich ein System 55 bauen möchte, ist dies das falsche Rack. Wenn man aber etwas handliches sucht, das sich auch einfach mal schnell umstöpseln lässt, sollte man sich das NiftyCase mal ansehen. Da ich mir daraus einen monophonen Wavetable-Synth (Waldorf NW1 und MOD1) gebastelt habe, habe ich insgesamt ganze 7 Module untergebracht, aber wenn man sich auf platzsparendere Module beschränkt, dürfte man doch eine ganze Menge Komplexität in der Kiste unterbringen können. Für Anfänger, die nicht gleich ein paar Tausend Euro in Module stecken möchten, definitiv ein gutes erstes Case.
