Voller, warmer Klang, sehr lippenfreundlich

Nachdem ich lange und gerne auf "Hohner Crossover" Harps gespielt habe und vom Klang und der Handhabung dieses Modells sehr überzeugt war, hat mich die reine Neugier gepackt und mich zunächst zum Kauf einer "Seydel 1847 Classic" Harp geführt.

Anfangs meinte ich, die "Crossover" wäre lauter und spräche schneller an. Nach einer Woche hörte ich diesen Unterschied nicht mehr. Die Seydel kam mir runder, voller, wärmer und "präzieser" vor. Gewöhnungsbedürftig war zunächst noch der Größenunterschied; die Seydel ist ein Tick größer in allem (optisch weniger auffällig als haptisch), was z.B. den Weg der Lippen über den Kanzellenkörper etwas verlängert, so dass durchaus eine Umstellung vonnöten.

Die "Seydel 1847 Classic" hatte es mir vom Klang echt angetan und meine Neugier anfegeuert, also bestellte ich mir noch eine "Seydel 1847 Noble" mit Alu-Kanzellenkörper und mattierten Deckplatten. Dieses Ding ist nochmal ein bisschen schwerer als die "Classic" und schon deutlich anders als die "Crossover". Zusammen mit dem "Green Bullet" Mic sind das ein paar volle, schwere Hände, beim Spiel!

Der ausschlaggebende Punkt gegenüber der "Classic": die seitlichen Öffnungen in den Deckeln ließen mich meine Harp besser hören beim Spiel und auch meine Lippen litten nach 2-stündigem Spiel nicht mehr, wie sonst bei polierten Deckplatten. Letztere können auf halbtrockenen Lippen eine immense Reibung verursachen und ich hatte regelmäßig blutende Lippen. Mit der "Seydel 1847 Noble" ist das definitiv vorbei. Dafür muss ich aufpassen, dass ich mich vorm Spielen auch ordentlich rasiere, damit die Barthaare nicht von den Deckeln eingefangen und rausgezogen werden... Kein Vorteil ohne Nachteil! :-)

Ich bin beim "Seydel 1837 Noble" geblieben und habe mir noch ettliche andere Tonarten dazu gekauft. Ja, preislich ein Aderlass. Aber er lohnt sich!
