Bugera PS1 Power Soak

This power soak is able to take my loud 50w Supro to whisper quiet volume while sounding decently true to the tone (not taking into account the change in sound of running the speakers at a quieter volume). So for the price it is excellent for home practice with a tube amp.

However, my planned use for this power soak was to tame my Supro so I could get it to distort at a volume that works when rehersing/gigging with my band. For this purpose the Bugera PS1 did not work. Even at the loudest setting it removes too much volume for me to be able to match the drums and other amps. This would be fine if it was stated in the description of the power soak but the only place I found this information was in the owners manual, where it is stated that "Even with the SOAK control turned up to 100 (full clockwise) the effective power at the speaker will be about half of the amplifier output power."
