För mig är det en ”kul och ha” bok. Jag ville veta lite mer om bakgrundshistorien Moog. Särskilt nu när bolaget är uppköpt och lämnar Asheville för stora delar av tillverkningen. Och det tycker jag boken uppfyller. Jag gillar också och läsa om andra människor, få en inblick hur de jobbar och ta del av andras historia.

Om man är ute efter Patch tips rent generellt eller hur synthesis fungerar finns det säkert bättre alternativ där ute. Den här boken är gjord av Moog så man bör nog gilla deras grejer. Annars kan det nog kännas som bara sälj propaganda. Vilket det också iof är :)

Again a very interesting title from Bjooks.
This book is the perfect companion for owners of the Moog Mother family or people considering one.
It comes with a good explanation of the different parts of the instruments, suggestions on how to use them and patch examples.
The interviews with the makers and users of these instruments are also very informative and nice reading.
A must have for people who have a Moog or want to know more about these Moogs.

Nice read

The Moisturizer 13.01.2021

This book is perhaps not a tutorial although there are some patch examples. The book does a great job at describing Moogs history and I also like the interviews with Moog developers. Also there are many artist interviews from artists I personally never heard of. All and all a very nice read for Moog fans.

Patch & Tweak With Moog is an excellent look at the company and folk of Moog Music Inc., including some illuminating discussions with some big names and some unfamiliar artists working with Moog systems.

While this book has plenty interesting to show you, it isn't exactly an exhaustive technique book or an educational tool. It is essentially a flattering coffee table book concerning Moogs' current run of semi-modular hardware. The original Patch & Tweak for instance had some pretty dense information in the beginning chapters to explain modular synthesis.

If you're interested in Moog at all, you will enjoy this title.
