Behringer UB-Xa

En helt okej reproduktion av en klassiker. Är väl kanske inte överförtjust i den klaviatur man installerat på synthen. Otroligt lätt, påminner om den på en Yamaha DX7 fast lättare., samt aningens smala tangenter Ljuden är helt okej, lite synd att man inte satt in några som helst effekter när man ändå gjort så många andra modifieringar jämfört med orginalet. Vreden könns lite väl plastiga där kunde man lagt mer pengar, skärmen borde ha varit annat än röd kan jag tycka, en svart med vit text hade funkat utmärkt istället för röd. Hade synthen igång över ett dygn och då vart det något fel på ett filter som återställde sig själv då jag bytte program. Annars fin med chassi i metall, sidor i trä som är fastskruvade till skillnad mot Deepmind 12 där dom var lösa efter transport. Men att byta Oberheims OB-X8 mot denna och säga att dom är lika bra, det skulle jag aldrig göra. UB xa:n kändes lite bättre då jag körde den med midi genom min prophet 10:a. Då var det lite mer som att keybed och ljud matchade känslan då man spelade. Annars är det en kul grej och väldigt billig för det man får för pengarna. Vill man ha en analog maskin som låter klassiskt för en billig peng, kanske detta är vad man skulle bli nöjd med. EDIT****** Synthens keybed gick förövrigt sönder efter max 5 timmars användning, så var det med den kvalitén.

Behringer UB-Xa är en riktig beast – en synth med enorm närvaro och klassisk analog värme. Ljudet är stort, brett och levande, och bär tydligt arvet från Oberheim, men med modern stabilitet och precision.

Den känns både lyxig och robust (hade önskat att sidopanelerna var av bättre kvalitet, en smaksak), med ett gränssnitt som inbjuder till spel och experiment. Varje ton har karaktär – från silkeslena pads till kraftfulla leads – och polyfonin gör att ljudbilden får en djup, nästan filmisk bredd.

Det här är en synth som inspirerar. Den lyckas kombinera vintage-själ med nutidens teknik på ett sätt som gör att man aldrig tröttnar. Kort sagt: UB-Xa låter fantastiskt, känns fantastisk och är ett av Behringers mest imponerande instrument hittills kan jag tycka.

Gränssnittet är en ren fröjd. Allt är hands-on och direkt – precis som det ska vara på en riktig analog synth. Reglagen är solida, knapparna har perfekt motstånd, och den blåa LED-belysningen ger hela instrumentet en futuristisk men samtidigt retro aura. Det är en synth som bjuder in till att spelas :)

This synth is for me a rollercoster of "Good to wtf moments"

Yes you can get some very nice sounds out of it but after a while many of the sounds sound very similar so the synth feels a little limited with that in mind. Sounds way better if you add reverb and a chorus to it, without it it sounds very dry. Yes i know its a replica of another synth but hey, this should be an update, no?

I dont like the the pitch"wheel" and the mod"wheel" in the performace section at all!

I am not 100% satified with the filter frequency, i find i very hard to dial in a good cut off when making a soft saw pad or something and i have hard time with volume in this synth, if i dont use the filter envelope the volume is low, i cant really control the volume on the oscillators.

I get the sense of that i need to use the shift button for everything to maybe tweek a sound into how i want it to sound.

I hate and i will always hate the ping pong from left to right when making something "stereo". Press a key and it sounds in the left speaker and then another key that sounds in the right speaker and so on and making a chord you have the notes all over the place. Never liked that att all in any synth.

The case feels sturdy and solid.
I have seen many complains with the keybed but i dont mind it (i have not tried many different keyboard), the only
thing i can say is that the AT on the black keys feels wierd, like it doesnt register when pressing down a key.

I love the feeling of being hands on on a synth, dial in the knobs etc to find the sound i am feeling.

I like this synth and also dont like it in a way, the videos online, the reviews, the sounds i listen to before buying it was the key factor for me to buy it, BUT maybe this synth was not 100% really for me?

Some sounds are very very nice in this machine and other sounds sounds like they are taken from a 80s toy keyboard and some patches sounds the same.

From what i have seen online this is a very good replica of the OBXA and if you are looking for that i am guessing this is the synth for you.
It was one of the reasons i bought it.
