I got tired of the "meh" sound of the Rockwell pickups in my Harley Benton 25th SC. The play-ability and construction is excellent, but the pickups leave a bit to be desired. I decided to go for these since they have glowing reviews, good output and are also in zebra color.

It was the first time I soldered pickups, but I got it together after a few hours and worked first try. Coil-split also works without any issues. Just make sure the follow the wiring diagram on the Boot Camp website. A couple of wires had the colors switched compared to the preinstalled pickups.

The sound then? I can't think of a better sound to be honest. Very clear and articulate. Not a smidge of mud even on the neck pickup. Output is a bit hotter than classic '57s, but cleans up nicely and I prefer the sound of these a lot more. I highly recommend these True Grit pickups! Considering the sound difference they are great value as well!

Good pickups from Bare Knuckle!

Bought these pickups to replace the stock ones on my PRS.
So far I am not disappointed. Installing and soldering was easy, they sound great and coil split works as well. I'd highly recommend their website for wiring diagrams if you're unsure about how which cable should be soldered where.
So all in all, I'd highly recommend these pickups.
