Asapura 14" ST-250CD Snare/Tom Head

I decided to try out a few Asapura drumheads and one of them was this Coated w/dot drumhead, ST-250CD, similar to a Remo CS.
The dot underneath is white and a bit smaller than on Remo. Holding the head in my hands and inspecting it, it just feels and looks great and says quality all over it.
It took me under a minute to tune it up on my Black Beauty and I was pleasantly surprised how fast it went and the head is easy to tune. The overtones are more clean than other heads I´ve used, more "right" and very pleasant to the ear. Normally I find the Remo CS loose a little sensitivity compared to a coated Ambassador which has been my go to snare head. Not this head. It´s very sensitive but has lots of "oomph" so to speak. I couldn´t stop playing the drum. It sounds absolutely magnificent with this head.
As a professional drummer for over 40 years I have tried most things under the sun. These Asapura heads are a welcome change. They are absolutely wonderful.

Noch ein Coated Fell mit 10 mils dicker Folie und Dot?
Ja, aber wie ich finde eine gute Alternative. Der Dot ist etwas kleiner als bei den Konkurenzprodukten. Es klingt etwas offener als ein CS. Und die Beschichtung scheint robuster zu sein. Die Haltbarkeit wird sich noch zeigen. Aber ich bin mir sicher das es länger hält als ein CS. Die Qualität des amerikanischen Herstellers hat doch sehr nachgelassen.
