Thomann Chanterreed

I bought this reed in order to improve my sound compared to the sound given by the plastic reed. Unfortunately, I found it almost useless. when inserted, it makes no noise at all, or a high squeaking peep. I've tried other brands of reeds, and they all work fine, so I'm disappointed in this one. I will not be buying new ones any time soon.

I have several plastic reeds from thomann and decided to try the wooden ones. I noticed an immediate sound improvement with this wood chanter reeds. It just sound more natural with lots of dynamics, and best of all it's easier to fine tune with a file, so it can fit your taste. A good choice.
